About the Sheriff's Posse
Mission
As a member of the Sheriff’s Posse, our mission is to support domestic violence awareness and prevention in Hampden County. We work alongside Sheriff Nick Cocchi to provide vital resources and assistance to victims of abuse. Our nonprofit organization is dedicated to improving the lives of those in need. We strive to create positive change in our community through various initiatives and programs.
Membership is by invitation only and requires a $500 annual membership fee and a strong belief that no woman should be either physically harmed or mentally abused. Initially, membership will be limited to 100 selected members.
In addition, you may be called upon throughout the year to help assist in other revenue-raising opportunities, such as participating in our annual golf outing, and bringing a toy to our annual Christmas party
for the children of abuse victims that may be less fortunate than us.
Besides being able to participate in a worthy cause, you will be part of a great group of guys that have been successful throughout their careers and are kind, caring, and willing to help their fellow members become more successful themselves.
You see, it doesn’t matter how successful you are or were throughout your working career. It’s about the ability to learn something new. If we as fellow members can assist other members to become more successful, then we as a group become stronger and more knowledgeable.
Our organization will be run by a board of directors and will always welcome your help and comments from the membership. We will hold quarterly dinner meetings for all members to attend including our annual golf outing.
Lastly, and most importantly, you will join an organization that supports Nick. Your commitment to our mission and his respect for you will be contagious. There is no better person to help address the tragic, senseless violence and abuse that impacts people of all genders, races, and backgrounds every day.
